One evening, I skimmed through a catalog and saw the picture of a homosapien robot. It reminded me that sony's robot dog aibo used to be on my gadget list. I was amazed that being a tech savvy, I went the old fashioned way. I started talking to Neo: Neo, you know, mommy has to feed you, bathe you, and pick up your poop. If mommy had the robot dog, mommy wont have all these troubles. My father overheard me, and declared: "Your robot dog can never love, but Neo can."
I didnot want to start a big A.I. argument with my old father, but kept wondering what he said. Neo will do anything that makes us laugh. We laughed when he chased his tail. He did it again and again just to keep us laughing. I praised him when he peed on his weewee pad. Neo then tried to pee again and again. When he failed, he even figured out to drink more water and then tried again. Every day when I got home, he'd jump up and down and make noise to catch my attention. Once lying in my arms, he's immediately happy and content.
Do dogs love or are they simply lured by food? Is love part of human intelligence or is it part of a creature's nature?
