Dan and I enjoyed this beautiful day walking with Neo along Hogan Lake. All of a sudden, a black Labrador came out of the woods. We were a bit surprised but still hoped to see the owner coming out soon. The dog walked towards us quickly, which made us nervous. Dan told me not to move so as not to alert the dog. But in a split second, we heard the lab growling, Neo howling, and the lab had Neo down to the ground. My mind went blank, while Dan was still shouting at me, dont move, dont move. I certainly could not hold still, but rushed forward, tried to kick the Lab away. The Lab shunned away from my kick, and I had the time to rescue Neo from the ground.
Poor Neo was shaking. It's the first time in his life he was bitten. The owner came out of the woods at this point. She apologized. We took her information. I realized how scared I was. My hands were still shaking badly while I was taking down her information. My throat hurt for many hours afterwards due to shouting at the Lab.
We found a wound in the back of Neo's neck, and took him to the emergency room. He was given an antibiotics shot and was given 7-days antibiotics afterwards.
